From the moment these little beauties enter the world and breath their first breath they are loved and adored. When our girl gets closer to whelping, we get the pen set up in the living room with a bunch of towels and blankets and have everything on hand for a safe and healthy birth. I am with her from the first to the last, helping to make her as comfortable as possible and making sure the puppies are doing well. We love our poochies so much and that love is poured into each puppy as well.
All of our puppies are very well socialized and partially potty trained by the time they leave. We start feeding them premium puppy food when they are about 4-5 weeks old. Once they are on a food diet, we feed them and then take them right outside so they learn to potty outside.
There is some hunting in both of their pedigrees and Kona’s dad, KODA is an avid duck hunter and continues to be trained by professionals to compete. Although we do not hunt with Mocha, she has produced pups that are great hunters, from the uplands of New York to the back woods of Michigan.
What we love most about these dogs is that although they have a great hunting instinct, they are also the most chill indoor family pet. They are loyal and won't wander. Anytime we are out walking anywhere, whether it's on our property or on a trail, our dogs and some of her pups that we hang with will run and come back to check on us constantly...they never go far...they love their people!
Your new family member will come with their AKC paperwork, a copy of their parents pedigree, a helpful puppy packet of info from AKC, a goodie bag with a bit of food, a couple toys and a little puppy blanket with mama's scent on it to help ease their transition. They will have had their first vet check to get their dew claws removed when they are just a few days old. Then they are dewormed at about 5 and 7 weeks. They will have a clean bill of health from our vet before they go to their new homes right around 8 weeks old.
